It's always great to see the original art on illustration board by the Playboy cartoonists, as it certainly gives me better insight into their medium and methods. When we just see the printed cartoon in the magazine, I think we sometimes fail to appreciate just how "painterly" these cartoons really are. The acrylic, gouache and watercolour is so different from all of the Photoshop colour so prevalent today in contemporary illustrations and is, in my opinion anyway, so much the richer for it. Thanks for showing these, Shane!
